Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning..
PBSSD (Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development) is a society under the Department of Technical Education & Training, Govt. of West Bengal. West Bengal Skill Development Mission in association with Paschim Banga Society for Skill Development (PBSSD) launched a scheme named "Utkarsha Bangla" . Motto of "Utkarsh Bangla" is to provide placement oriented short term training to the the unemployed youths in Bengal
National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Scheme has been formulated to impart IT (Computer) training to 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorised ration dealers in all the States across the country so that the non-IT literate citizens are trained to become IT literate so as to enable them to actively and effectively participate in the democratic and developmental process and also enhance their livelihood.
Skill Development Initiative Scheme has been formulated by Government of India to provide vocational training to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates, etc. to improve their employability by optimally utilizing the infrastructure available in Government, private institutions and Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.
An invocation was called up to connect country's rural areas with the internet along with all the Government offices and administrative offices under the “Digital India” project that was launched by the Prime Minister on 1 July, 2015. Regardless of that, Google India and Tata trust, took the task in their hand to connect the women to the internet in Indian villages and launched a project called “Internet Saathi” in July 2015.
Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) seeks to empower adolescent girls, so as to enable them to take charge of their lives. It is viewed as a holistic initiative for the development of adolescent girls. The programme through its interventions aims at bringing about a difference in the lives of the adolescent girls. Kishori Shakti Yojana seeks to provide them with an opportunity to realize their full potential.
